The first place I stayed after landing in Thailand was Ubud, Bali and it was incredible. If you’re looking for a slower paced and relaxing getaway out side the U.S. I can’t recommend Ubud enough. With rice terraces scattered everywhere, amazing temples, the world famous night market, and of course the monkey forest, there’s something here for everyone. There is little to no night life here which makes it stand out from the rest of Bali but it defiantly makes up for it with the amazingly fresh food ranging from 2 to 8 American dollars for a whole meal.
